We are living in an extraordinary time and we can’t even begin to talk about the election, the candidates, without noting the powerful transits of Pluto and Neptune to the nation’s chart. The only other time we’ve had these exact transits was during the period of the Revolution and leading right up to the Civil War; so the parallels are fascinating and really we’re in this “double engine” revolution. On one hand there’s a deep transformation of the nation’s identity, much like in the Revolution with Pluto was in Capricorn and there’s also a transformation of the nation’s soul with Neptune in Pisces and a similar period leading up to the Civil War. So let’s take a look at this “dual engine” revolution because this is going to be a very rich period in our nation’s history and really a time to savor and ride change.
The Plutonian part of this revolution really started with Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn in 2008. Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth, and it will compel us to come to terms with elements of our nature as a nation that aren’t that easy to face. Pluto stirs up issues of power, government, autonomy and how much authority government may or may not exercise, in essence a total transformation of the nation’s identity. It shoves into the light that which has become toxic and no longer serves so that something new can emerge. It stirs the nation’s inner cauldron which is now boiling over everywhere in frustration with the status quo.
All we need to do is return to the Revolution for some serious insight as this was the only other time Pluto was in Capricorn in the nation’s chart. The Revolution wasn’t a simple one sided phenomenon, but the one thing it was, was a struggle for power, and the one thing it did was to shove into the light the uses and abuses of power and the underlying motives which fueled it, exactly like it has been doing in this country for the past 10 years.
And so these two periods, the Revolution and now, with Pluto in Capricorn, are perhaps the few times in history where people feel that they can really participate in reshaping the society and casting aside outmoded ways of governing and being governed. As Pluto completes its transit through Capricorn by 2024, our country’s Pluto return, we’ll have completed an entire cycle, suggesting a complete reevaluation, reassessment and subsequent renewal of the fundamental values of our founding fathers and the Constitution.
In addition to issues of power, Pluto’s return to its natal place in the earthy house second house also suggests serious reappraisal of our country’s resources, chiefly the use and abuse of natural resources as well as environmental concerns. So while the Plutonian part of this revolution is survival and power, the Neptunian part of this revolution is a national spiritual crisis.
National Neptunian crisis...
With Neptune in Pisces from about 2011 to 2025 we mark the end of a 160 year cycle and the beginning of a new one we are entering a profound period of psychological renewal and change, a shift in consciousness that we haven’t experienced in 160 years, and this new growth demands that our old self be shed.
Neptune stirs the collective unconscious psyche’s deepest feelings and longings. Neptunian transits are crises of the spirit and in this case a collective spirit that has grown tired of rules, limits and boundaries. It makes us aware of how world weary and fatigued we’ve become in our day to day lives and how so many things have become vapid, meaningless and intolerable.
Neptune wants us to experience beauty, the kind of beauty that connects us all. Neptune wants us to throw out all of the crap and get down to what really matters. Neptune transits facilitate this shift by dissolving structures that straightjacket the collective soul, leaving outworn beliefs and values behind that no longer serve.
We’re living a time with an uncanny resemblance to the emotional and spiritual climate of 1850-1860 right before the Civil War when Neptune was in Pisces and opposing the nation’s Ascendant which is exactly where we are now. The country at that time was on the verge of war which was only averted by the Compromise of 1850, a series of legislative bargains over the western territories and slavery designed to appease growing sectional tensions.
But the Compromise of 1850 achieved the exact opposite and Americans were growing increasingly unwilling to accept limits, rules, laws or any kind of traditional boundaries. Remember, Neptune stirs deep emotions and longings; it dissolves the boundaries between ourselves and others so it was awakening deep collective unconscious feelings, a tremendous unrest simmering in our nation’s soul.
So this is a very similar place "feeling wise" that is in this country now; the fear, the uncertainty, all brewing at the nation’s core. These collective unconscious feelings then exert with tremendous force in the form of projections, and there is no other arena quite like the political arena where they get expressed. That is why ideological movements are par for the course under Neptune transits because they are deeply imbued with emotion, a past and future fantasy, they’re all fantasy. And so there is this romantic vision of paradise lost and regained through the creation of a perfect society. Ideologies can be politically left or right, some are peaceable and some are not, but they all are ideas which involve the redemption of a downtrodden collective, which then rises up and then overthrows the persecutor.
Sometimes they appear as the aspiration of the perfect Muslim state and the promise of a quick trip to paradise for those who blow themselves up in the name of Allah.
Sometimes it appears as a Superhero Grandpa who’ll fight corruption to restore decency and integrity to all.
Sometimes it appears as the hijack of an entire political party, a three ring circus for the channeling of collective frustrations and fantasy.
And sometimes it’s just an overgrown, overstuffed, Kewpie doll, up-lifter of all who are also unrecognized, suppressed and deeply in need of some self-worth.
This passage, from Liz Greene’s book "Neptune," states this phenomenon powerfully;
“Arnold Toynbee, in Study of History, makes some relevant observations on the characteristic responses of a society threatened by the disintegration of existing structures and values. He suggests that the experience of “spiritual uncertainty” and “moral defeat” in a nation may propel its citizens into pursuing a “utopian chimera” as a substitute for an intolerable present.” In just this way does the individual in the throes of uncertainty and defeat often turn to Neptune’s world, and Neptune’s magic talismans, because life has become intolerable.”
Toynbee goes onto state;
"In the twin movements of archaism and futurism, Archaism an attempt to return to some imaginary past Golden Age, and Futurism, a frenzied leaping towards some fantasy future, can be seen two apparently opposite, but fundamentally utopian (or Neptunian), collective attempts to escape reality.” Both ignore the necessary compromises and adjustments that are needed to create a tolerable present, to deal with the here and now.”
Feelings are pretty powerful, especially collective unconscious ones. So, in part II of this video we’re going to take a look at Clinton, Trump and Sanders, and the lay of the land politically from the Democratic and Republican conventions right up through election day. So I hope you’ll join me.

So, let’s do it…
Sanders, Trump, and Clinton.
So what I’ve done is gone ahead with all three charts and identify the “sensitive structures” within them. That is, those structures that tend to get “sparked” at important or pivotal events in their lives. By identifying these structures and what kind of connections they’re making “now” it will give us a really good perspective on how the election might unfold for each individual candidate.
So let’s get started with Bernie Sanders…
I can’t stress the importance of two sensitive structures in Sanders chart that are always present at major and pivotal events.
Zeus/Kronos=Mercury, which is his powerful and creative mental leadership
And Jupiter/Vulcanus=Pluto, one of the most successful midpoint structures, all kinds of positive change and development and the influential and expansive development of power.
Bernie Sanders "sensitive structures" activated at pivotal events.
So leading up to the Democratic National Convention Bernie Sander’s chart is in this current mode of expansion and will continue to grow over the year, but the energy will really pinnacle mid-summer, around the convention.
Sanders chart is strong and will continue that trend as his “sensitive structure” Jupiter-Vulcanus/Pluto is in powerful contact to his “natal” Moon and his “directed” Poseidon, and these two planetary pictures just heighten in energy as we get closer to the convention in July. Now what that means with both the Moon and Poseidon is that Sanders will continue to exert powerful public influence, developing and building momentum while continuing to transmit his ideological concepts. This may or may not mean he’s leading in the primaries but rather that his influence will remain strong.
Also building in strength over the next six months is his directed Aries point, which is the world axis, in connection to his natal Apollon point which indicates widespread expansion, and with those Meridian/Jupiter-Vulcanus/Pluto structure here too, probably a lot of money funneling in over the next several months.
Although his chart is still strong at election time, I’m a little bit less impressed with it. Sander’s November chart just doesn’t contain a strong enough Zeus/Kronos=Mercury axis, an axis that has been so active in past elections wins. And his chart also lacks a connection to the world axis that would show in this type of event.
So the repeating theme in his chart over and over again is about this release of “idealism” and the “inspiring of new growth,” a “generation of power and development” and “expansion.” The Neptune and Jupiter transits of both his Meridian and Sun over the next six months continue these themes and the Saturn transit which is square will be challenging but serve as impetus to keep building and do what is needed.
So Sander’s Neptune transit in these situations generally tends to inflate or dissolve, poof and they’re gone. My guess is that Sanders will be relevant as long as collective unconscious feelings are strong and there is a need for a mouthpiece, Sanders being their channel.
So now we come to Donald Trump. I did not read Ted Cruz’s chart as there is some uncertainty as to a correct birth time on it so I made the executive decision to just leave that one alone.
Upon identifying the “sensitive structures” in Trumps chart, the ones active at major events, we find a collection of inflations, deflations, successes and failures more than anything else.
One of the most important structures is where four of the six personal points meet up and it the structure that casts the biggest shadow in his life. Sun-Moon-Meridian-Ascendant with Venus-Hades/Saturn midpoint, tremendous self-valuation issues; his uncertainty around his own inner value and worth and his bottomless need for “proof of value or love” that serves as a motivation for everything that he does, the White House being the ultimate trophy of self-worth and more poignantly personal redemption.
But this structure also sits on the nations Ascendant and Neptune has been transiting this area for the past year and will continue through the election stirring up and intensifying not only Trump’s deepest unconscious feelings and longings but the unconscious feelings and longings of an entire collective. Neptunian transits are crises of the spirit and in this case a collective spirit that has grown tired of rules, limits, and boundaries. Trumps ability to channel these archetypal images is his gift.
And the Zeus-Kronos/Mars/Neptune with the Mercury/Meridian in Trumps chart is what enables him to do so, to channel the collective; an endless font of imagination that’s nearly always operating, intuiting what others want him to be and then to becoming that person; a profound ability to read an entire auditorium of people the way he can read an individual.
Trump isn’t popular because he channels collective fear and discontent. Donald Trump is popular because he captures the collectives desire to dissolve and transcend the limits of life’s boundaries and just be who we are. Trump is having the time of his life using his outrageously creative skillset and people like it, they want that kind of freedom in their own lives and that is a universal feeling. No matter how abominable you think Trump is, there is a kernel in everyone that finds him oddly, offensively and uncomfortably attractive.
And so ramping up the next six months we have a very prominent Sun direction to his Ascendant which is exact to the second during the Republican Nation Convention, which in my estimation means there is a strong possibility that he’ll be at the helm. Sun-Ascendant directions or progressions are like a “coming out party,” they’re major life transitions yielding energy, vitality, recognition and confidence.
Moving out of that period and into November is where things really get interesting. On November 8th his chart as a whole forms a 22.5 degree aspect to itself, similar to a quarter turn of a dial. And this 22.5 degree aspect, symbolizes action, it’s both motivating and a challenging, but the direction it will go will depend on Trump’s own inner evolution and development. But he does have a strong direction of Pluto to Jupiter at that time which is excellent for positive growth and development as well as connections to the world axis on election day, chiefly a Moon-Vulkanus/Meridan which is a structure of tremendous public and political influence. The curious thing here is that this Moon-Vulkanus/Meridian structure is also tied in with his Neptune/Pluto midpoint structure which is exact at convention time and this means that there is both an intense mystical air that surrounds Trump, but that there’s are also possibly deep imperceptible changes going.
So again, similar to Sanders, Neptune transits either inflate or dissolve because they are so rooted in unconscious feelings, both Trump’s and the collective’s. Will he win the election? His chart is slightly favorable and he does have a strong world axis and world axis connections. He could possibly keep inflating up to the election and then “poof” he’s gone, just like your typical Neptunian transit creating a lot of projection until it’s no longer needed.
Ok, Hillary Clinton’s chart. Same deal in finding those sensitive structures at major events in her life, so let’s get started.
And we have a Mars-Pluto/Aries structure which is the midpoint for “civil servant,” but it’s also someone who is ambitious, strong-willed and very skilled at developing building and changing things.
The Sun/Meridian-Aries structure can be a very public figure and it also represents how one works and deals in the world as well as their opportunities out in the world.
"Sensitive structures" in Hillary Clinton's birth chart that have gotten "sparked" at major and pivotal events in her life.
So a little background on a chart I know well. Hillary is someone with an extraordinary deep understanding of the collective unconscious psyche combined with powerful need to implement collective needs, but internal issues around “valuation” and the right use of “will and power” have impeded her for much of her political career. So the reason why I wanted to review that point is because it appears that Hillary has personally gone through some tremendous internal changes over the past few years with the transit of Neptune to her Meridian around the time of Benghazi and the subsequent resignation as Secretary of State, a time when she was probably feeling tremendous discontent around what she was doing and the parts of herself that have stood in the way from a deeper connect with herself and then by default the collective.
And so what is currently consolidating in her chart that will remain active for another few months is a monster combination....see below.
Sun directed to Neptune, Uranus directed to her Meridian, and Meridian directed to her Mars. This is not only deeply intuitive combination, tuning her into collective psyche like a radio tower, but it also signifies tremendous vision, the need to assert and an abundance of energy needed to harness the collective psyche into workable goals and objectives. So this “tri-structure” is probably operating more internally right now as she is gathers steam by taking stock of the collective needs and the lay of political land.
So I was really curious about this exact structure and what was going on the only other time it was exact like this in her life which was forty-five years ago in 1968.
So I Googled it and came across this NY Times article written in 2007 where she was apparently immersed in a very similar transformative process as she is right now.
From the 2007 New York Times Article; "in the Turmoil of '68, Clinton Found a New Voice"
Mark Leibovich writes;
“As the nation boiled over Vietnam, civil rights and the slayings of two charismatic leaders, Ms. Rodham was completing a sweeping intellectual, political and stylistic shift.”
Hillary goes on to say;
“There was a sense of tremendous change, internationally and here at home which impacted greatly how I thought about things.”
And of many of Hillary’s handwritten remarks from that year are still on file at Wellesley, as she wrote;
“Gaining power is at the core of effective activism.” It is the very essence of life, the dynamo of life.”
“She was not an antiwar radical trying to create a mass movement, said her friend Ellen DuBois. She was very much committed to working within the political system. From a student activist perspective, there was a significant difference.”
She arrived at Wellesley in 1964 as a Republican Goldwater girl and left as class President and an anti-war Democrat whose graduation speech won her Time magazines “Voice of a Generation.”
So returning to Hillary’s chart in the here and now, as these three areas subside in energy over the next few months, she’s got a locomotive train getting revved up that will slowly creep and take her up to the election. The directed Meridian to Mars/Pluto which is a tremendous drive to go beyond limitations and initiate new situations, with possible and much needed “rework” around the expression of the masculine in her chart. See below.
Around convention time we move to a Meridian Pluto direction indicating a profound release of personal power into career.
And then her Meridian she lands exactly at election time on the Aries point or world axis and that is huge.
When something connects to the world axis we will be seen and have impact in the world. Of all three candidates here, Hillary’s chart has hands down the most powerful placements on election eay. The only other time that Mars/Pluto=Aries and the Meridian came together like this was the day her husband was elected 42rd President of the United States.
What I don’t think is that all of these planetary directions she’ll be having between now and election time will be easy, they’re a square which in astrology is a very challenging aspect, indicating a lot of stress and resistance, but equally as strong will be the desire to overcome the obstacles and tackle problems.
So with a chart like Hillary’s we’re dealing with a different kind candidate than a Trump or Sanders in that Hillary is not an “idealist,” she has no ideology. Hillary’s is an “implementer” who will most likely strategize a political run like a locomotive train; grounded, intense, forward moving based on her reading of the collective psyche and need. If she can harness and tap into what both Sanders and Trump are channeling and convince people that she is the one to move and implement the collective current, then she will very likely win this election. But more than anything she needs to come from heart, with a positive expression of both her feminine and masculine.
So Sander’s and Trump’s charts are both strong, they are necessary and invaluable pieces to this transformative time. Hillary, well she’s an implementer but we’ll have to wait and see if she can both harness and swim the transition while moving the collective forward.

The reason I love working with the Uranian system of astrology is because the Uranian system goes right to the heart of one’s personal story with amazing subtlety. With the dial, a patterning emerges and we get an intimate look at the “path and purpose” as well as our dilemmas along the way.
I decided on Barack Obama because after six years in office he’s more of a mystery than ever and I wanted to get some insight into what started off as this romance with this romance with the country and quickly cascaded into the country’s ambivalent relationship with him and him with the country. I know there are some pretty strong opinions out there about Obama so try to reserve some judgement because the point here with astrology is understanding and respect for the path each and every one of us is on. So let’s get started.
Before we dive into his natal chart I wanted to take a moment to point out a rather major side note. For the past ten years Barack Obama has been under quite a heavy Neptunian transit to some very personal points in his chart, beginning with the Ascendant in 2004 and moving to his Meridian and then his Moon. I would think that this period has been the most difficult of his life. Neptune transits dissolve structures that straightjacket the soul, creating a tremendous amount of a sort of “divine discontent” in one’s life. Neptune forces us to go within and develop identity from a place of soul and inner whisper instead of from a place of heavy earthly ambition. Let’s move on to his natal birth chart.
First and foremost this is the chart of an artist. The Poseidon here strongly aligned with his Meridian axis tells us of someone who has a profound inner world that is very receptive spiritually and intellectually and needs to reflect out illuminating ideals that inspire. He needs to express from this subjective place and give it form, and being on the Meridian axis means it inhabits every corner of his being.
The platform for his artistry is Mercury/Apollon which is someone who is free and open minded, who wants to expand and do so through their communication skills, and with the Poseidon it becomes oratory. But the Hades here in this three point picture drags that Mercury/ Apollon into the underworld indicating a real lack of mobility and freedom in this area. So basically we’re dealing with someone who has deep emotional yearnings with extraordinary skills, a man who is a seeker on a path and he’s looking for a place of shelter for his feelings and ideas. But there’s exists this huge dilemma in his chart that revolves around identity and issues of self-acceptance.
The Moon structure here is incredibly revealing. The moon is the emotional nature, the emotional unconscious, what we need for our peace and wellbeing. The Saturn Uranus predicament here is in full stretch and there’s a conflict between his needs for security and his needs for his self-expression and the Hades/Apollon is alerting us to the fact there is trouble with this expansion and usually Hades has primal roots, that is situations that have originated early, and you can see they originated in his early environment. Back to the Saturn Uranus, the Uranus is alerting us to a situation of “too early emotional independence,” where he might have needed comforting and support it’s inconsistent. And indeed when we go to the Moon/Ascendant midpoint which tells us about the actual mother, you can immediately see the Neptune/Admetos, which means she was very back and forth with Barack, strong closeness and strong separateness, and with that Uranus right on the Moon/Ascendant midpoint she was restless and perhaps had her own ambivalent feelings around motherhood.
Back to the Saturn/Uranus. So with the Uranus here he carries this inner restlessness but it doesn’t go anywhere because it would threaten his emotional security. So he goes for the security of Saturn, and negates the expressiveness of the Uranus and sells himself short, where he just functions and adapts. And the Sun/Neptune with the Hades here is indicating he readily accepts situations and is just too passive to do anything about it. Since there’s a real sense of lack of effectiveness he avoids conflict and moves himself into a second rate positions because he’s shy about competing.
So there’s this outer acceptance….as a way of sort of convincing himself that he’s in control of his life, but a total inner unacceptance. So he lives with this tremendous feeling of unrest and he really never really knows the source, all he knows is that he never feels content with his lot.
I think the clearest example of the Saturn/Uranus dilemma in his chart this was the trajectory of Obama after the 2004 DNC speech that mystically captivated a nation and propelled him into a run for President. But due to that lack of clarity around his identity, he didn’t see the situation realistically.
So he wins the Presidency, and it’s no longer this romantic oratory orgy and now he’s got to deal with a very hefty everyday mundane reality that is the Presidency. And remember Obama lives mostly in his imagination and those Poseidian waters; he’s not too much into mundaneness which turns this into an incredibly tenuous situation for him.
His lack of “clarity of self” causes him to make unrealistic choices and also the lack of mobility and freedom to communicate only increase the isolation he feels. But it’s the complex emotional setup and the separation he constantly feels with others and all of humanity that will be the final straw for Obama.
The Venus/Saturn with the Ascendant in this three point picture around the Meridian is telling us that he is desires close relationships, solid relationships but that he tends to feel lonely and disconnected.
His Gemini Moon, that rational, sociable yet neutral persona he carries conceals an intense and very raw feeling nature below.
The Moon/Pluto on the Sun and Chiron reveals this emotional depth and intensity but he’s got tremendous fears around them being invaded and intruded upon. The Moon Uranus around the Meridian tells us of a person who harbors a lot of nervousness and anxiety, who distances because they are vulnerable. So this is someone who builds a world where they can be themselves but where others can’t gain entrance. He can only maintain his autonomy by detaching and distancing himself and the highly fixed quality of his chart means that he’s resistant to most outside influences and this is what gets him disliked. This is also what completely blocks the career area. But ultimately I do think that the profound loneliness and the lack of emotional connection he experiences will force him to dissolve that inflexible will and really reconnect with those parts of himself he has cut off. Not only will this help him to see things more realistically and build the correct external structures which for him would be using his emotional depth and leading through inspiration but he’ll also regain that lost sense of relatedness and unity with the rest of life.

Donald Trump astrology. Trying the win and the phenomenon. Horoscope.
He’s a bully and a blowhard, he’s a narcissist to the enth degree, but he’s weirdly and wildly charismatic. He’s impervious and illusive and yet he holds court with this improvisational air, shape shifting into different things as he dreams them up. He’s that buffoon who we find ourselves cringing at yet secretively rooting for. After analyzing Donald Trump’s chart I realized that the GOP candidates really should be looking a bit deeper at what Donald Trump has to offer, and we’ll take a look at that. We’ll also take a look at how long this is likely to last.
Around his Meridian we have this intense Zeus-Kronos midpoint structure with Mars which indicates a really strong personality and someone who wants to be an authority figure. And with the Mercury right on that axis, someone who needs to communicate and have their viewpoints recognized.
But the Neptune here in this powerful three point picture turns Trump into a gas explosion that’s nearly always spewing, a perpetual vivid imagination that’s always envisaging potentials without which he finds life stifling and suffocating.
The trouble is this Hades/Sun midpoint structure. Hades which is the planet of the underworld has pulled the Sun here and this indicates serious self-esteem issues and defensive needs to prove the self. This is someone who unconsciously feels unrecognized and suppressed. So without a solid vessel to set that Neptunian sail we get the shell of the boat, a lot of puffin up and feigning, a lot of aggrandizement, because underneath is always this vague sense of inferiority combined with a fear of rejection, and this haunts him at every turn.
So perhaps this is the most fascinating piece of Donald Trumps chart and the most illuminating in terms of the seeming bedrock of his popularity, Mars and Pluto, two power planets, both ruled by Scorpio and needing to affirm their personal power and identity, but in this house that power is subjugated, unconscious. There’s a fear of really owning their greatness and so they keep displacing this fear onto whatever comes along. That Mars close to his Ascendant makes him very combative with every personal encounter. He looks to be dissed so he can confirm what he already believes himself to be, and if the dissing isn’t forthcoming he will gladly serve some up. He self-inflicts.
But here in the twelfth we aren’t only dealing with one’s personal unconscious but the collective unconscious as well. Mars in the twelfth house may be the one to act out all of the unexpressed anger of those around him. The battles he ends up fighting may not even be his own, and this is where Trump is hooked into the collective unconscious, the collective shadow.
As David Brooks writes;
"When Trump is striking populist chords, he appeals to people who experience an invisibility." He appeals to members of the alienated middle class who believe neither the rich nor the poor have to play by the same rules they do."
Brooks goes onto write;
“Never before have we experienced a moment with so much public alienation and so much private, assertive fragile self-esteem. Trump is the perfect confluence of these trends. He won't be president, but he's not an aberration. He is deeply rooted in the currents of our times."
So how long is Donald going to last? He’s definitely not disappearing just yet. So let’s go to his chart and dial ahead.
And what we find is the planet Uranus parking itself in a tight challenging aspect to his Meridian around late November into December of 2015. Uranus, the planet of revolution and change can mean sudden abrupt changes and happenings in the campaign, and the fact that it’s also tied in with a Neptune/Ascendant midpoint could mean for Trump “disappointing changes or losses” what it can also mean is that he leaves the GOP and runs as an independent. We’ll see!

Will Hillary Clinton win? Meet her 2016 opponent.
So is Hillary going to win her run for president in 2016? Basically this is very interesting. She couldn’t have more powerful and interesting alignments that come together exactly on November 8th 2016. Two of the most important axis are coming together the Meridian and the Aries axis or also called the Cardinal axis. And in her career whenever these axes have come together historically they have always equaled pivotal events. Now pivotal doesn’t equal success or winning, pivotal means pivotal. I think it will be very interesting; she has a great possibility of winning this election but it’s not going to be based on political strategy, it’s going to be based on something much different. What her chart illuminates and tells us with amazing clarity is that she needs to move beyond her restraint, her reticence and her blocked energy in terms of her relationship with the public
So where is the “Hillary problem?” Let’s go to that Meridian which is a snapshot of the soul or point of individuality. Here we find the planet Admetos indicating resistance and blocked energy. And with all of that Scorpio energy in her chart and with the Admetos right on that Meridian axis, this tells us of someone who has a laser like perception of deeper psychological undercurrents and energies as well as excellent analytical skills. This is someone who needs to see her depths mirrored in her surroundings, and who understands that her wealth is her knowledge and she craves to be known for that.
And yet when it comes to committing to the issues she dithers, the Sun/Mercury-Saturn here is telling us when it comes to expressing her deepest opinions she feels insecure and tested, and she’s nervous about risking being wrong which is why her appearances often seem canned and why she is so controlling of events and environments .
Making appearances where there are less clear cut rules, where taking a risk is involved, she flounders. Mercury-Saturn people, when Mercury and Saturn are in hard aspect, are serious and conscientious minded but in the same breath they feel what they have to express is somehow not good enough. And so overcompensating for this with Hillary we feel talked at rather than talked to.
The Mars/Pluto with the Uranus around the Meridian, this would tell us her assertiveness is great but her motivation is actually immense vulnerability, and that there’s a deep distrust of what might be termed the masculine energy within herself. So there’s an overcompensation here too. She can either over assert or not bother at all. She can be self-righteous and craving for power or she can respond to things in a nervous mistrustful way.
Hillary crafts and goes for what she wants in covert and subtle ways in order to avoid her own vulnerability and her own uncertainty, and as a result she is hard to see, she is enigmatic, and this is what makes the public suspicious, that somehow she’s hiding something. This is where her “trustworthy” or her “honesty” or “integrity” problem is perceived. But the point is that Hillary really is hiding something, but what she is hiding is from herself which is her authenticity, and she really does need to release this mask.
In a recent article in The Atlantic, Peter Beinart catches a glimpse of this “authenticity” in a recent appearance by Hillary. And he writes;
“Because she said what she really believes, she sounded authentic not only in substance, but in style. She displays her natural voice; wonky and blunt. She thrives when talking about the details of policy. And when she gives direct unhedged answers, she comes across as tough without having to say she is.
He goes on to write;
“Clinton can't run credibly as a populist. What she can do is explain that the decisions a president make are hard and complex, but she has the smarts and toughness to make them really well."
So with those powerful structures coming together around election time, she can definitely win the election, but it’s not about political strategy and it’s not about credential or experience. What it’s about is whether or not she can break through her own defenses that keep people from finding out who she really is and letting them see her real strength, which is her penetrating insight, her intellect, her powerful perseverance, her industriousness...these are her biggest assets that will win her the election. So it’s going to be really interesting to watch what happens over the next year and a half, not from political strategy but whether she can make this transformation, because that’s what is going to make the difference.

Double Venus ruled princess, Taurus Sun and the Libra Moon. This is a girl who is rational, charming, devoted, harmony seeking, a realist with powerful magnetism and a lively social conscience. And with that Cancer Rising there is an instinctive sensitivity, gentleness and tact in dealing with others.
Sounds a bit like Duchess Kate, right? Not quite. Look a bit deeper under the hood and what you will find is a person who is drawn to complex undercurrents and subtle life matters with great depth and insight, and a need to use her inner vision, her inspirational energies.
Charlottes birth chart reminds me of the mythological creature Alice in Wonderland, and they share profound parallels. Falling down the rabbit hole, finding themselves in a strange land and absorbing a wide gamut of impressions, encountering things that are awesome and fascinating as well as strange, obscure and disturbing. It’s the realm of the psyche, the imaginal realm of the unconscious and by integrating this unconscious into consciousness the Mars/Neptune mp around the Meridian indicates she can use her inner vision, her inspirational energies as a creative fount for connection through social services or the arts.
And so artistic, literary or communication abilities are strongly indicated in her chart as we have Venus and Mercury, the planets of love and art, communication and thinking, in strong connection to her Meridian, and remember the Meridian is the soul’s essence or point of individuality.
But there are blocks and complexities around emotional expression with Charlotte, and there are several indications that an evolution and transformation must take place and its roots are within her ancestry in a smothering matriarchal line. Now the blocks that are showing up are within generations past. Interestingly Kate surfaces as a figure of gentleness and grace as evidenced by the Pisces Meridian and the Neptune conjunction of the Meridian. Kate can really be a great support to her daughter in this situation.
The Saturn/Admetos around the Meridian is telling us she would like to be and do more but that she feels something is blocking. The Uranus Pluto here tells us that there’s some fear around bringing her individuality to the fore, which if she expresses from this place of inner vision and deeper recesses that she’ll be controlled in some way, and so with this kind of fear she can get into power struggles with others. The Uranus/Pluto can make her changeable, moody and irritable and I’m certain Kate and William will experience this from time to time.
And so the planet Admetos in her chart gives us profound insight. Admetos will tell us where the blocked energy lies as well as the potential to bring her energy into the depth. Here we find the Moon/Ascendant midpoint structure which is the feminine influence in the early environment and more likely in Charlottes chart, the feminine influence “ancestrally” as we also have a strong twelfth house influence. The Mars/Saturn midpoint, the Uranus/Kronos midpoint, and the Admetos all around this axis indicates an historic matriarchal line that involved too much control and intrusion into personal space and feelings as well as a too early experience of emotional independence. Charlotte probably experiences some of these unconscious past memories as irritability, nebulous fears and an inability to achieve certain things, so she’ll need to take a look at these skeletons in her ancestral closet, to explore her unconscious, her Wonderland. She’ll need to look around, take notes and integrate what she’s found in order to know what makes her tick.
But remember all is not wonderful in Wonderland, her innate openness to “undercurrents in the atmosphere” can be glorious as well as frightening, particularly to a harmony and security seeking girl like Charlotte with her Libra Moon and a Cancer Ascendant. And she may overcompensate for this by being super rational, as indicated by her Mercury-Saturn opposition on the Meridian. But Wonderland will always press on within Charlotte, to be a bridge between the unconscious and the conscious, to find an undefinable and immeasurable kind of beauty that heals and fulfills, and to find the avenue that affirms her personal power and identity.
Charlotte reminds me a bit of the soldier Queen, elected to carry and heal old wounds within the matriarchal line and thus the monarchy. She has the potential to be a pivotal figure not only overturning the status quo, but by bringing her individuality to the fore. Her penetrating insight, her creativity and her inner vision.

I thought we’d take a look at what might be the timeline of Pope Francis’s reign since his recent announcement that his papacy would be short.
Now in order to do this we need to figure out what sensitive structures within his chart are being activated and sparking events which is what the Uranian system of astrology is so good at. So I’ve done a bit of research in terms of taking the dial and dialing back in time to see which structures have activated historically. Then we’re going to take our dial and dial forward in time and see what timeline for his papacy might be. Let’s get started…
What I have found in working with the Uranian system of astrology is that within an individual’s chart there are always “sensitive structures” that trigger events. Now in order to find these structures we’re going to animate the dial, which shows the movement in time starting from 1955 through 2014, and I’ve selected eight major events in the timeline of Pope Francis’s life (with exact dates) to observe and see just what is getting triggered. So you can really see how in all of our astrological charts things are constantly changing. Most importantly we want to start seeing some “repetition,” meaning we want to see if we can pick up sensitive structures that are being triggered and repeating within these eight events more than just once.
And they certainly are, at every one of these important dates where there are major career shifts and changes, these structures are repeatedly getting sparked.
So let’s dial forward into the future and we’ll take a look at how the Pope’s papacy may unfold. Now it doesn’t appear that they’ll be any major changes in the next few years, but what does look interesting starts around mid 2017 when there are some health aspects. The Sun will be directing with his Saturn/Neptune midpoint which is traditionally a “not great health aspect.” And by November of 2018 that same Sun will move to Neptune, which again could indicate possible illness. Even if we go back to the traditional western chart, we can see even in a more general way that Saturn is making its teo and a half year long trek through the sixth house, which indicates the need to look realistically at ones work and health habits. Chronic health issues that have been neglected are likely to surface now and they are often related to dietary habits. The body tends at this time toward a certain toxicity and usually needs to work hard to purify. So these health issues could definitely impact how Pope Francis is feeling around the work situation.
Now also starting around the beginning of those health aspects (which is mid 2017) is also a Uranus transit to the Pope’s Meridian which will go back and forth over this point for about two years. Now remember the Meridian is the career area but it also represents the soul or the soul’s essence. When Uranus, the planet of personal freedom and individuality moves over our Meridian the urge is to clear away limitations so that we can have a fuller life experience and I think between having potential health issues and Pope Francis’s intrinsic needs for the kind of personal freedom that allows him a more humble existence where he can get more up close and more personal with the “pulse” of the collective, that this is going to be quite a restless and anxious period of time in the papacy for him. He will become less and less willing to deal with the restrictions the papacy has on his life.
But it seems to be between mid 2019 and the spring of 2020 that those sensitive structures that we pinpointed earlier in this video around the eight events of his career, seem to get activated. And by the end of 2019 into Spring of 2020 a particularly interesting setup in his chart appears. His directed Uranus sits right on his Meridian indicating a possible sudden change in the work area as well as a change in the direction and goals in much of the life. It could even indicate a geographic change. The Saturn transit here reinforces this desire for a structural change in the work area. Although because it is a square and coming from the 7th house, he will perhaps be experiencing some resistance around this issue within his relationships.
So while I think the Papacy will be short, in my observation it doesn’t appear as short as the two or three years that Pope Francis mentioned. My take on it is more around four or five years.
How long will Pope Francis's papacy be? We'll take a look. Pope Francis - Astrology - Horoscope - Birth Chart

The planet Uranus is often written about because it's close alignment with the Greek myth of Prometheus and I can’t help but notice how closely this mythology attunes with the birth chart of Pope Francis. Prometheus, who had the gift of foresight, steals creative fire from the gods and gives it to human beings, as a collective. The Gods were furious that the people were now empowered and chain Prometheus to a mountaintop where eagles would come daily and pick at his liver. This story exemplifies not only the Promethean and Uranian spirit, but the price one must pay for vision.
The Uranus is very much a centerpiece of Pope Francis's chart with its close conjunction to his Meridian, and remember the Meridian is the souls essence, what you really want regardless of whether it brings attention and recognition from the outside. Now the planet Uranus is a very future oriented planet, it's an airy planet that sees things clearly, it can take in a broad view of things recognizing patterns. Uranus is the planet of personal freedom, change and innovation. It bursts onto the scene with revolutionary impulses, wanting to transcend limits and structures of our past and carries with it the vision of human potential. In close conjunction to his Meridian, this is someone who wants to contribute something progressive to society.
The Uranian energy is very challenging in his Cancer ruled chart. The Uranian spirit prizes personal freedom, exploration and individuality, but his Cancer Ascendant needs connection and secure emotional foundations, it fears isolation. Its ruler, the Moon, sits in the 7th house of the traditional chart, which is the house of personal relationship and needs to intimately connect with people and preserve harmony in the relationship area.
To a great extent Pope Francis has integrated his Promethean visions with his inclusive heart centered needs. Latin American analyst Alejandro Bermudez perhaps says it best. “The transformation of the heart makes the Christian become the heart of the Catholic Church, and when the heart of the Catholic Church is transformed, the Church becomes the heart of the world, and is capable of transforming the world.”
But where does the “suffering” of the Promethean spirit reside? When we Moon/Meridian midpoint structure, the midpoint that represents our deepest soul expression and needs, we find the rumblings of Uranus here. The Uranus indicates awakening insights that are aligned with his deepest soul yearnings but it also suggests tension and anxiety. Remember he has strong security needs! And with the Venus/Uranus midpoint also there, there are tremendous needs for space and freedom in relationship as well, and this type nearly always is up against situations where “personal space” is an issue. So a certain disruptiveness in relationship is only to be expected. With the Transneptunian planet Hades on the side, his needs are strong needs to help the suffering but it also indicates some feelings of lack of effectiveness in this area, that somehow he’s not all he can be and the Sun/Saturn midpoint structure here is saying something similar to the Hades.
Now all of this limits to a certain extent how comfortable he feels directly offering up all of his creative and visionary ideas. His detached freedom oriented needs make him both antsy and a little anxious. He has been referred to as the “Blabbermouth Pope” and the Pope who “talks too much and too spontaneously.” Well this is Uranus speaking.
And so the Popes announcement recently that his papacy would be short, 2-3 years maybe 4-5, comes as no surprise. The Uranian rumblings never cease, and his needs for space and freedom to personally touch and gather valued insights; the Pope is already ten steps ahead of us and it’s a place where the collective doesn’t exist. With his Promethean spirit he’s shifting the course of this enormous vessel that is the Catholic Church. And in the part II of this video we will dial ahead using the Uranian system to take a look at the timeline for the papacy. I hope you will join me.

We’re going to take a look at the chart of Taylor Swift, not so much from the success that she has created in the creative realm, but in her relationship area. Those very same structures in her chart work so well in career can be a bit messy in the area of personal relationship.
When we go to the Meridian and immediately we see that Saturn/Neptune midpoint as well as the Saturn/Moon midpoint structures sitting on the side. Now remember the Meridian in Uranian astrology not only is the represents the soul, the point of individuality, but it’s also career. So when Neptune andSaturn and come together here we have the use of the non-concrete, the visceral, immense sensitivity, compassion and imagination of the Neptune, and the concrete reality, practicality and discipline of the Saturn. This is what gives Taylor the power to create in tangible form the outpourings of her imagination. Saturn/Neptune people, if the structure is there artistically, often become self-appointed messiahs in a sense for the collective. She may speak of emotions that are unique to her but really are common to the masses.
So what’s the double edged sword in this picture?...that the Moon is involved. The Moon is quite afflicted in Taylors chart and even though she has got it to work well in career, her chart indicates the moon enters troubled waters in the personal area.
Dialing in on the moon we immediately run into Neptune, so anything that points to the moon will involve Neptunian energy. Neptune and the moon have a lot in common, they’re sensitive, imaginative, empathic, and compassionate, they’ve got a refined sense of feeling and are concerned with feeling connected. These people long for connection, for reassurance that makes them very self-sacrificing, becoming what others need them to become. Moon/Neptune understands others need for unconditional love and they need this kind of love in return. They often look to others to redeem or be redeemed on order to avoid having to face all of the harshness in the concrete world.
So the sensitivity and merging of the water combined with the self-expressive creative fire in her chart, that Sun in Saggitarius, the Leo Ascendant and particularly the intensely desirous Scorpio Mars, the planet of determination, will power, active energy, and you’ve got a Fire/Water situation, someone who looks at people in terms of their potential and tries to fix them. Fire/Water works beautifully in the career area where we can intuit potential and make things happen. The fire seeks expression but the water seeks the paradise realm of connection which is why she falls hard, fast and because there is so much expectation she ends up disillusioned, lonely and disappointed. She’s not really seeing these men for who they are but rather projecting her own needs and longings onto them.
In addition around the Moon area, we find a Jupiter/Saturn midpoint indicating there are problems around the area of faith, swings in temperament between unbounded optimism and deep pessimism. There is a lack of trust that what she is looking for is really there for her, or rather, and more poignantly, on some level she really doesn’t believe it is there for her and so what we think we energetically recreate.
So it’s really not the famous issue which she so often speaks of, but rather the issue is her feelings of lack of effectiveness and lack of confidence in this area.
Now let’s factor in that Saturnian energy with that Moon. Whatever Saturn touches it craves but has a hard time reaching. So here, the nurturance, deep emotional bonds, real feelings of security is amiss. There’s a “trapped child” here who learned emotional self-sufficiency early. The kind of love that says I will love, protect and nurture you just because you breathe was in short supply, although her strong Neptunian energy around her moon probably kept her weaving fantasy and idealization around how it actually was, and kept her pining away in search of that emotional setup. So the child develops extraordinary ways of getting their needs met by being ultra-responsible, dutiful and controlled. Responding to others needs and never letting anyone down. Moon/Saturn is usually quite vulnerable and scared of being hurt so they will always conform to elicit approval, conforming was the currency for love. Moon/Saturn people often end up in a mothering position, like a Mother Hen, even playing mother to their own. All of these combinations lend themselves to this caretaking or fix/change pattern in the personal area, trying to fill her own needs and longings for emotional security.
Her chart indicates in several places the need for major transformation in this area, so Sun/Moon - one of the most important midpoint structures for relationship in Uranian astrolology. And bingo, not only do we find that whole structure with the Moon-Neptune/Saturn midpoint with the Meridian on the side, dialing us back into that adaptive fix-change/caretaking problem, but we find the planet Pluto here as well. Pluto, the planet of death, rebirth and transformation is telling us that there needs to be profound transformation in this area of personal relationship , that old patterns from the past that no longer serve need to die. And Hades is here on the side as well, the planet of death, decay, the underworld as well as early emotional primal wounding’s in the life. The Hades here can mean a few things, on one hand is another confirmation of difficulty in the relationship area and someone who is terrified of the vulnerability here,
So let’s dial back to that Meridian once more and include our relationship mp Sun/Moon, and wahlla the Sun-Moon/Hades witha 3-point picture with Pluto hooked right into the Meridian, confirming the issues around relationship but also that this is a soul issue something to be worked on this lifetime. The fact that there is Plutonian energy around it means that the possibilities for transformation are there, but not before she has some real transformative experiences concerning relationship. It will be a spiral and hopefully an upward one.

Now all planets can run the spectrum from positive to negative in their expression. Here in Chelsea Clinton’s chart we find a powerful Poseidon energy, the planet of inner wisdom, inspiration, and illumination of ideals, but it’s a hindered Poseidon energy.
Highly individualistic and sensitive, Chelsea has a deep need for emotional self expression but her chart indicates she finds it hard to achieve in practice, spending considerable time chasing experiences which turn out to be less than expected.
Around her Meridian and remember the Meridian is like a snapshot of the soul, the soul’s essence, the point of individuality, it’s what you really want regardless of whether it brings attention and recognition from the outside. We have this major structure here involving Neptune, Poseidon, Admetos and the Sun that complete this 4 point picture. So when the Poseidon/Neptune come together we can get someone who has a deep clarity, knowledge and wisdom of themselves, someone who is introspective and has a lot of insight. But if not operating well in a chart and there are indications in Chelsea’s chart that confirm this finding, our knowledge of ourselves is foggy and unclear, we can have false ideas and views of ourselves that keep us on the wrong path and in a mirage, clear insight into ourselves is not accessible for some reason and continuing to slip through our fingers.
The Admetos joins the Poseidon here and the Admetos deepens, stabilizes and solidifies energy, or it can block energy creating suppression. So with the Admetos/Poseidon we get a person with a lot of mental depth. This is someone who would like to take her ideas and ideals and shine the light on them in a profound and grounded way. Admetos/Poseidon is also the midpoint structure for education. But the Admetos can also be blocking the energy of the Poseidon, the expression of her ideal’s and what she’d like to radiate, and this is what appears to be happening.
The Sun/Admetos here is saying Chelsea has strong needs to feel deeply involved in her work but that there are feelings of restrictiveness, that she’s really not getting her needs met in this area. And then rounding out this major structure we have a Sun/Neptune midpoint, someone who is highly sensitive to energy and can use these sensitivities for the greater good, creatively, spiritually, or in some kind of helping profession. But if not operating well we can have a negative outlook and there can be a loss of ego strength and confusion or even depression at times around the career.
Chelsea is a fiercely independent and individualistic spirit as seen by the planet of personal freedom and individuality, Uranus in close aspect to her Meridian. But her chart is telling us that there's a lot of confusion and uncertainty when she strives for her personal goals and that there's some ambivalence when it comes to dealing with the public. She can give the sense at times like she’s driving but with the brakes on.
But where does this conflict come from? When we go to the moon, and the moon is our emotional needs our emotional unconscious, what we need for our emotional peace and wellbeing, it’s also the mother. The Saturn here, the planet of security, stability, reliability and also the planet of limitation is saying Chelsea had a strong attachment to her mother but there was a lot of restrictiveness.
And lets look even further and go to the Moon/Ascendant midpoint structure, the midpoint structure that most specifically describes the mother as well as Chelsea’s experience of her. And here we confirm our findings even further. Venus/Pluto and the Mars/Jupiter, this was a passionate mother with strong impulses who really loved her daughter but with those power planets of Mars and Pluto she was pushy and contentious.
So here is where some of the conflict lies because Chelsea did see her mother as a source of inspiration but she also feared her wrath. She would have needed a more delicate encouragement and a heartfelt interest in order to gain the confidence to develop her own inspired visions. Instead she received her mother’s competitive energy.
So there’s really a lot there with Chelsea, she’s an individualistic spirit with strong ambitions and inspired visions. But troublesome emotions arise when Chelsea aims to bring more of Chelsea into the arena, hiding away her deeper drives she feels would provoke opposition. This is a very old pattern that can be traced to her early environment. But these deeper drives are positive and healthy impulses that are necessary to her passionate visions. She probably experiences this as a stealthy tension, never finding herself satisfied and yet unable to say just what the dissatisfaction is.
So this is where the mirage in her life resides, Neptune/Poseidon, her need for inner clarity, for intimacy with herself but struggling with the reflected image. But if Chelsea can work to transform the uncertainty and fear around bringing more of Chelsea to the fray, that same Neptune/Poseidon can set the sail to her visionary ideas and ideals.

This next chart is William and Kate’s little Prince George. Admetos is strong and very much a centerpiece of this chart. A major structure sits around his Meridian, and remember the Meridian is the soul’s essence, the point of individuality. Here we find Admetos in this 4 point symmetrical picture involving Mercury, the planet of thinking and communication, the planet Uranus, the planet of individuality, personal freedom, individual will, changeability and progressive views, and the Ascendant, his environment, how he presents himself to the world, how others see him and his relations as well. And then of course there is the Admetos which can work to deepen, stabilize and solidify energy or it can block energy creating suppression.
The Mercury/Admetos midpoint structure reveals someone who is a deep and serious thinker and whose thought are very personal in nature, but it can also be someone whose thinking is negative and pessimistic at times.
The Ascendant/Admetos midpoint structure tells us that we are dealing with a person of depth, but also someone who tends to be somewhat removed and detached, who doesn’t have the ability to feel close to a lot of people and someone who will always prefer a few very close relationships as opposed to the larger collective.
Now let’s bring in the Uranus/Admetos midpoint into the picture. Uranus is all about personal freedom and individuality and there is no doubt that Prince George does have a highly individualistic nature. But again the Admetos is telling us there is some suppression around it, some anger. As a matter of fact in Uranian astrology the Uranus/Admetos midpoint is one of the classic midpoint structures for anger. But what’s this anger around? A deeper look at the chart definitely reveals the conflict.
George is someone who quietly desires approval and security from others and is quite sensitive to disapproval and rejection. But at the same time he’s not wholly comfortable revealing this deeply private and individualistic side, in fact he’s a bit fearful around having to open up his carefully guarded boundaries which can create some distancing and suppression. He can come off in outspoken and brusque ways as times while also feeling lonely and isolated. This is a very sensitive child who is going to pick up early that they have to be a certain way and then the real self is denied, and so an uncomfortability with it ensues and this is where the anger is derived. Will and Kate probably experience this conflict in that George is brooding and moody at times with frequent temper tantrums.
So the challenge will be to develop for George to develop a more inner and permanent sense of worth and security through the transformation and refinement of his individual will, his desire nature, thereby lifting the Admetos blockage and transforming it a deep solidified foundation for self-expression in his monarchical life.
